Why Are Academics -- and Others -- So Nasty?

Why Are Academics -- and Others -- So Nasty?

We all know that our universities are the very last place to go if you want a free and open discussion of ideas. Only approved progressive ideas are permitted, and don’t you forget it.

Nothing new really. I’m reading 1491: New Revelations of the Americas before Columbus at the gym, and author Charles C. Mann is describing wars to the death fought by academics over the decades about various migration theories in the Americas and the all-important question of when modern humans first arrived here. There’s the Clovis theory:

Qatar imprisons Baha'i leader for casting 'doubt on the foundations of the Islamic religion'

Qatar sentenced the leader of the country’s Baha’i community on Wednesday to five years imprisonment after he allegedly made a social media post which was said to “cast doubt on the foundations of the Islamic religion,” according to UN officials, Baha’i organizations, and international media reports.

Remi Rowhani, 71, was first detained on April 28, and an informed source told Human Rights Watch that the Qatari courts had denied Rowhani’s lawyer’s request to review court documents outlining the charges and evidence against him.

The Baha’i International Community said the posts discussed “principles such as justice and the equality of men and women, honoring parents and raising children with good manners, and calling for good deeds and service to humanity.”

Miss Universe adds a ‘Miss Palestine’ category

 By Darlene Casella

Recognition of Palestine as a state has become popular among some members of the United Nations.  French president Macron and others like him should be aware that a state is more than a wish your heart makes.  An analogy to the Palestinian State scheme is Rumpelstiltskin spinning gold from straw.

Yasser Arafat created the name “Palestinian” in 1964 for the newly formed Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO).  It was renamed Palestine in 1998.  There has never been a Palestinian nation, a Palestinian civilization, a Palestinian culture, or a Palestinian language.  There has never been a Palestinian state governed by Arabs until Gaza and the West Bank.

Israel’s kingdom lasted for thousands of years.  King David is ancient Israel’s most important king.  His killing of the giant enemy soldier Goliath is legendary.  King David is honored in Judaism and in Christianity.  The wisdom of his son, King Solomon, is found in the Book of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Songs.  Solomon built the first holy temple in Jerusalem.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem more than 600 years before Islam was created.  Counter to false spin, the geographic area was not known as Palestine when Jesus was born.  Roman emperor Hadrian about 100 years later called the Middle East area Palestine.  Arabs and Jews who lived in the area were identified by tribe.  They were not called Palestinian.

Palestinians were not displaced to create a Jewish state.  In 1948, when Israel became a state, Arabs were free to stay; no conversion to Judaism was required.  Surrounding Arab nations attacked Israel.  Some Arabs fled to surrounding countries during that war.  Arabs who left call themselves refugees.  Generations later, their descendants are self-described refugees.

The tomfoolery of countries operating to recognize a Palestinian state is joined by the Miss Universe Organization (MUO).  Miss Palestine is a new category in the 2025 pageant, which will be held in Thailand in November

Celebrating women of all cultures, MUO claims to create a safe space for women to share their stories personally and professionally.  There is a bathing suit and evening gown competition, but MUO maintains that it is not a beauty contest — that contestants are judged on fairness and adherence to strict rules and regulations.

Nadeem Ayoub, Miss Palestine, spent her childhood in Canada.  She is a high fashion model in Dubai and lives in Dubai and in the West Bank area of Israel.  According to reports, Nadeem was crowned as Miss Earth and Miss Palestine in 2022.  In her role as a Miss Universe contestant, she made the following remarks:

I am honored to announce that for the first time ever, Palestine will be represented at Miss Universe.

Today, I step onto the Miss Universe stage not just with a title — but with a truth.

As Palestine endures heartbreak — especially in Gaza — I carry the voice of a people who refuse to be silenced.

I represent every Palestinian woman and child whose strength the world needs to see.
We are more than our suffering — we are resilience, hope, and the heartbeat of a homeland that lives on through us.

It would seem that Nadeem is innocent of historic knowledge and not aware that Gaza’s Hamas terrorist organization initiated the October 7 murderous attack, or of the atrocities on thousands of civilians in Israel, and that civilian hostages continue to be held in Gaza today.  Is ignorance evil?

Should Miss Palestine be selected to wear the Miss Universe Crown, it would be a feather in the public relations cap of those who work for the destruction of Israel.

Are the uninformed and misinformed innocent?  Will they be called to the same justice as deeds done by the instigators of untruth?  Perhaps King Solomon had the answer: “The lesser of two evils is still evil.”

The UN lies about a famine in Gaza to justify funding Hamas at the expense of other nations

We are repeatedly and insistently told that there is a famine in Gaza, despite the millions of tons of food that Israel and the UN have shipped there. This is a despicable lie, and it was made possible in significant part because the UN deliberately changed the metrics for what constitutes a famine. In this way, it can justify spending 45% of its aid funding on Gaza, while other parts of the world genuinely starve.

If you were alive in the 1990s, you remember what a real famine looks like. It looks like this famous image of a starving child being stalked by a vulture during the famine in the Sudan. (Amazingly, the child survived.)

Evyatar David, digging his grave in a Hamas tunnel, while his portly captors wave food around, is also what famine looks like:

‘Jews for Zohran’ Mamdani group tied to niece of lefty China-based billionaire

The niece of the China-based billionaire purportedly backing left-wing protest groups in the US spearheaded the “Jews for Zohran’” Mamdani campaign — a bid to give the Israel-bashing candidate cover from antisemitism accusations and win over Jewish voters, The Post found.

Marxist tycoon Neville “Roy” Singham‘s niece Alicia Singham Goodwin serves as political director of lefty nonprofit Jews for Racial and Economic Justice, which in January launched Jews for Zohran.

“We, like, had our own voter file . . . and for phone banks that were only Jewish voters, and had, like, Jews talking to Jews,” Singham Goodwin, 33, said in a July 1 interview on WBAI. “We developed early on these talking points about antisemitism and a way for volunteers to engage.”

Jews for Zohran is now working with city Comptroller Brad Lander and Rep. Jerry Nadler to persuade more Jewish pols — such as Sen. Chuck Schumer and Rep. Dan Goldman — to back Mamdani for mayor.

Former Queens Democratic City Councilman Rory Lancman called the effort “frightening” given Mamdani’s defense of the “globalize the Intifada” slogan.

“The demonization of Israel leads to the demonization of Jews who support Israel, which is overwhelmingly the majority of Jews in the U.S.,” Lancman told The Post. “Receiving the endorsement of Jewish elected officials represents a normalization of the demonization of Israel and the demonization of Jews that naturally flows from that.”

Singham Goodwin’s mom is Roy Singham’s sister, Shanti Singham, who has her own Chinese ties: a department chair at state-controlled East China Normal University in Shanghai, she’s promoted the country’s Confucius Institutes in Africa.

Singham Goodwin’s father, Daniel Goodwin, was longtime counsel and an executive at Roy Singham’s software firm Thoughtworks.

The couple donated $4,200 to Mamdani’s campaign and super PAC from their luxury penthouse in Morningside Heights.

A leader in the NYC Democratic Socialists of America, Singham Goodwin’s social media shows her posing with Mamdani and with her uncle’s wife Jodie Evans, founder of the Singham-funded leftist group CodePink.

Since the $785 million sale of Thoughtworks in 2017, Roy Singham has installed himself in Shanghai and bankrolled groups pushing Beijing’s agenda.

House Republicans have sought to question him over potential ties to groups involved in recent protests against immigration enforcement in Los Angeles.

Zohran Mamdani’s $2,300 rent scandal exposes who this ‘socialist’ is really looking after first —himself

Who are government-mandated rent-stabilized apartments for? Apparently well-compensated bureaucrats.

Mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani is only paying $2,300 for his stabilized place in Astoria, despite making $142,000 a year as an assemblyman, plus stipends, in addition to however much his artist wife is also raking in.

It’s part of a long-term pattern of Mamdani scheming programs meant for less-fortunate people for his own benefit. First he’s claiming to be an African American to get into college, now he’s grifting on rent-stabilization that lower income people should be benefiting from.

Mamdani’s rent had been pointed out for around a week before Andrew Cuomo caught on and challenged him in a Friday tweet about the matter, which attracted a staggering 33 million views on X.

Canada's prime minister tells Canadians to get their news from state-controlled media

In Canada, free speech is no longer a thing.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney utilized an August 5 press conference in British Columbia to dismiss concerns over Liberal legislation (Bill C-18) that would forbid news outlets from sharing news on social media, particularly during emergencies. The Canadian Commie globalist didn’t just refuse to rescind the aforementioned Bill C-18. No siree, he also urged his fellow Canucks to rely on government-funded CBC News for fair and unbiased information.

In light of the fact that heads of government steadfastly refuse to tell the truth, I have taken the liberty to translate Carney’s statement to more accurately reflect his actual meaning and beliefs. It would go: Comrades, trust me, the CBC is a reliable and highly credible news source that is as honest as our glorious revolution is long. And remember, unfettered free speech is the hallmark of a depraved and chaotic society, and invites input from those that don’t value the revolution above all.

This despite the fact that many objective observers deem the CBC to be a propaganda arm of the Liberal Party, from which it receives the vast majority of its funding, similar to the mainstream media’s relationship to the Democrat party in the United States.

But quashing free speech and association isn’t enough for the Carney government. Perish the thought! The ruling Liberal Party is also encouraging “LGBTQI+” refugees to move to Canada by offering them taxpayer-funded income for up to 12 months in addition to various other programs.

Turns out, the Babylon Bee’s allegedly satiric post referencing President Trump’s desire to annex Canada and label it “Gay North Dakota” was spot-on. (Corollary: it’s shocking how many “conspiracy theories” have turned out to be facts.)

So, once again, you have a Western nation trashing its own citizens and traditions in favor of foreigners, especially those with sexual kinks.

The Great Replacement Theory is not a theory, but an ongoing plan that is nearing fruition in some areas.

Cotton asks IRS to review CAIR’s tax-exempt status, cites terror ties

 (Aug. 5, 2025 / JNS)

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) sent a letter to Bill Long, commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service, asking the IRS to investigate the nonprofit status of the Council on American-Islamic Relations due to what he said are its ties to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.

“CAIR purports to be a civil-rights organization dedicated to protecting the rights of American Muslims, but substantial evidence confirms CAIR has deep ties to terrorist organizations,” the senator wrote on Monday. “In the largest terrorism-financing case in U.S. history, CAIR was listed as a member of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Palestine Committee.”

The federal government presented evidence in the trial that “revealed that CAIR’s founders participated in a meeting of Hamas supporters in Philadelphia, where they discussed strategies to advance the Islamist agenda in America while concealing their true affiliations,” Cotton wrote. “Tax-exempt status is a privilege, not a right, and it should not subsidize organizations with links to terrorism.”

CAIR called Cotton’s claims “debunked conspiracy theories and half-baked legal arguments.”

“Is that the best you’ve got, Tom? We figured your handlers would have given you something better to work with,” it wrote.

CAIR blamed Israel for being attacked on Oct. 7, and the Biden administration removed it from the White House’s national strategy on antisemitism.

‘Terrorist Simping Hits New Levels’: AP Torched for Puff Piece on Wounded Hezbollah Fighters

The Associated Press (AP) faced fierce backlash on Wednesday after publishing a sympathetic article about Hezbollah terrorists “struggling to recover” from Israel’s pager attack, with critics slamming the report as terrorist propaganda that would make Nazi sympathizers blush.

The controversy erupted after the AP’s piece, which garnered over one million views on X, detailed the “slow, painful path to recovery” of what the outlet acknowledged were “likely” Hezbollah members and terrorist “dependents.” The lengthy feature reads like a sympathy piece for Iran-backed terrorists, complete with hand-wringing about a Hezbollah fighter who “can no longer play football” after losing an eye in the sophisticated Israeli operation.

Conservative lawmakers and media figures unleashed a torrent of criticism, with Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) calling it “an utter disgrace that this ‘news’ agency is writing puff-piece articles designed to garner sympathy for terrorists.”

Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA) mocked the piece, writing: “AP: Won’t someone PLEASE think of the terrorists?!”

After Pulling Child Famine Hoax in Gaza, UN Tries to Pull It In Afghanistan

Before pulling the famine hoax in Gaza, the UN and the media pulled it in Yemen. They claimed tens of thousands of children starved to death. In reality, Yemen’s population, under Islamic terrorist rule, rose 30%.

Now that a child famine hoax was a huge hit in Gaza, the UN and the media are teaming up to push it in Afghanistan.

Afghanistan has its ‘sharpest surge’ ever of child malnutrition, UN agency says – CNN

Afghanistan is seeing its sharpest-ever surge of child malnutrition, the World Food Programme said Monday, adding it needed $539 million to help the country’s most vulnerable families.

Almost 10 million people, a quarter of Afghanistan’s population, face acute food insecurity. One in three children is stunted.

The WFP said the rise in child malnutrition was linked to a drop in emergency food assistance over the past two years because of dwindling donor support. In April, the administration of US President Donald Trump cut off food aid to Afghanistan, one of the world’s poorest countries.

Weird how the only child famines the UN publicizes are happening in Islamic terrorist states.

But let’s cut to the chase here. Much as in Gaza and Yemen, the UN’s WFP (run by Cindy McCain) operates with the complicity of Islamic terrorists. Western non-profits in Islamic terrorists are staffed up with terrorists and their associates. The terrorists have a thriving business model taking and reselling food, and charging nonprofits ‘taxes’ to operate there.

Then they declare a famine to lift sanctions, end military operations against them and bring in even more money.

It’s all lies. Whatever food shortages exist are due to terrorists making off with the food. And they fall far short of mass starvation.

Here are some recent UN headlines about Yemen. Remember this is a country where the population jumped 30%.

17 million on the brink of starvation in Yemen – UNICEF

9 years into the conflict in Yemen, millions of children are malnourished and stunted – UN

Yemen: One in two children severely malnourished after 10 years of war – UN

In the real world, the population is up 30%. They’re lying to you. Absolutely shamelessly.

The Gaza child famine hoax worked so well that they’re going to pull it over and over again unless people stop buying it.

Is the worm finally turning in the UK against uncontrolled immigration?

For the last three decades, and with an explosively accelerating force in the last decade, Britain has opened its doors to the Third World, especially the Muslim Third World. In 1980, 5-6% of the British population was foreign-born. As of 2021, around 16% of the population was foreign-born, with estimates that the percentage may now be as high as 18%. This is a huge increase for a welfare state, especially one that is dedicating its resources to housing, feeding, and providing medical care to the newbies, rather than to UK natives.

Another interesting factoid is that, for the second year in a row, the most popular baby boy’s name in the UK is Muhammad (that specific spelling). Notably, that does not count the more than 30 different ways to spell that name, each of which has its own place on the chart. Thus, while Muhammad is No. 1, Mohammed is No. 21. If you combine just those two variants, you get 7,481 boys born with that name, far exceeding the next most popular name of Noah (4,139 boys).

And here’s another thing to think about: The fastest rising name on the charts was Yahya, after everyone’s favorite mastermind behind the genocidal slaughter of Jews, Yahya Sinwar.

What’s really been getting the Brits’ goat is that the government has been converting hotels into housing for illegal aliens claiming asylum. It seems that the beleaguered Brits are starting to feel that their land is no longer their own, and they don’t like it. In other words, the worm is turning.

So, on Saturday, across England, some Brits turned out to protest:

Displaced Nigerians block highway to protest gov’t inaction after 200 Christians killed in massacre

Hundreds of displaced Nigerians blocked a major highway this week to protest government inaction after the mass killing of more than 200 Christians in a massacre last month. The demonstrators, mostly women and children, demanded food and security at a camp near Makurdi in central Nigeria.

Chanting “We want to go back home; no security, no food,” the protesters used tree branches to barricade the Makurdi–Lafia–Abuja expressway, halting traffic at the junction near the Maga IDPs Camp in Mbayongo, Truth Nigeria reported.

The demonstration came one day after Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, visited Benue State and announced a donation of 1 billion naira ($653,000) for the upkeep of internally displaced persons in the region.

Minnesota Islamic center says rape, assault is their culture

An Islamic center in St. Paul, Minn. has written a letter of support to lessen the sentence of a Somalian child rapist. The man abducted the 12-year-old girl from her backyard, bashed her over the head, and transported her in his car, where he raped her before she was able to escape.

Qalinle Dirie, 42, was convicted for raping the girl and was sentenced to 12 years in prison. He was found guilty by a jury trial of first-degree sexual conduct. After the conviction, the Al-Ihsan Islamic Center submitted letters of support for Dirie.

Judge Burns sentenced Dirie to the least amount of time permissible under Minnesota law: 12 years. Dirie will also have to register as a predatory offender. He is eligible for parole in 2033, four years ahead of the 12 years, and would be on parole for the rest of the term.

Dirie was born in Somalia and grew up in refugee camps in Kenya before coming to the US in 2006. He's been living permanently in Minnesota for over 10 years and sends remittances home to his family in Somalia.

The Al-Ihsan Islamic Center said Dirie has faced "the challenge of starting over in a new culture." They referred to the rape and conviction as "this situation" and said that Ahmed Anshur, the executive director of the center who had signed the letter, had "witnessed his love for his family and kids."

The center said that Dirie "has also been an active volunteer in our mosque, Al-Ihsan Islamic Center, where he regularly visited during Friday prayers, Ramadan, and community events. You’ll often find him helping elders find rides home or staying after to help clean up. His service has never been about recognition — just a quiet commitment to supporting the spaces that hold our community together."

For the Islamic center, that's a good enough reason to support a child rapist.

Man who solicited teen boy for sex goes and creates a baby son through surrogacy

Man who solicited teen boy for sex goes and creates a baby son through surrogacy

Ever wonder why gay men use IVF and surrogacy to have little boys far more often than little girls? I sure do.

Anna Slatz at Reduxx reported a few days back on yet another horrific story involving gays and surrogacy. Per Slatz, two gay men, one of whom is a convicted pedophile, have created a baby boy through IVF and are raising him, completely unsupervised, because while there are laws that prevent child sex criminals from adopting and fostering, there is nothing preventing them from using surrogacy to obtain a child. All fifty states need to call a special session over this one issue and get things changed, like yesterday.

Gays should not be able to purchase children, especially if they’re child sex predators.

The story went viral when the two men posted a video to social media showing the little boy’s growth over his first year:
