 As of now, we don’t know for sure all the names of those responsible for the tragic air disaster in D.C. but there is no question that DEI corroded the quality of air traffic controllers.

This is a good summary of how it started.

Historically, the pipeline into air traffic control has followed a few paths: military veterans, graduates of the “Air Traffic-Collegiate Training Initiative” (AT-CTI) program, and the general public. Whichever route they came from, each candidate would be required to take and pass the eight-hour AT-SAT cognitive test to begin serious training…

In 2000, a three-member task force, including NBCFAE member Mamie Mallory, wrote “A Business Case and Strategic Plan to Address Under-Representation of Minorities, Women, and People with Targeted Disabilities,” recommending, per the lawsuit, a workplace cultural audit, diversity “hiring targets” for each year, and “allowing RNO- [Race and National Origin] and gender-conscious hiring”…

Central to this: the cognitive test posed a barrier for black candidates, so they recommended using a biographical test first to “maximiz[e] diversity,” eliminating the vast majority of candidates prior to any cognitive test…

Around this time, the FAA decided to pause the hiring of CTI graduates pending the implementation of the biographical assessment. Neither the schools that ran the CTI programs nor their students were informed of this when the decision was initially made. A number of students, including the class representative, passed the AT-SAT (in the case of the class representative, with a perfect score), not knowing they would never get to use it…

In 2014, the FAA rolled out the new biographical questionnaire in line with the Barrier Analysis recommendation, designed so that 90% or more of applicants would “fail.” The questionnaire was not monitored, and people could take it at home. Questions asked prospective air traffic controllers how many sports they played in high school, how long they’d been unemployed recently, whether they were more eager or considerate, and seventy-some other questions…

National Black Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees (NBCFAE) members were hard at work. In particular, one Shelton Snow, an FAA employee and then-president of the NBCFAE’s Washington Suburban chapter, provided NBCFAE members with “buzz words” in January 2014 that would automatically push their resumes to the tops of HR files. A 2013 NBCFAE meeting advised members to “please include [on resumes] if you are a NBCFAE Member. […] Can you see the strategy”, emphasizing they were “only concerned” with the employment of “African-Americans, women … and other minorities.”

In short, merit-based testing was short-circuited, the way that it was in many professions, by adding a layer of biographical materials over the top, and rigging the system to disqualify the normal candidates.

We’re now all living with the results.

These moves led to prolonged legal battles by qualified candidates who were rejected for not being ‘diverse’ enough.

Andrew Brigida, 35, scored 100 per cent in his training exam but alleged that he was denied a position in an air traffic control tower because the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) recruitment process favoured diverse candidates. He is part of a class action lawsuit filed against the federal agency.

Speaking after the Washington air disaster, in which 67 people were killed, Mr Brigida claimed that years of diversity hiring meant it was only a matter of time before an accident happened.

Plenty of these ticking time bombs are still there.

 In September, the bodies of six hostages kidnapped during the Hamas attack on October 7 were found at the end of a tunnel in Rafah. The conscience of the “ceasefire” and “Free Palestine” was clear: the death of the six Israelis was “the responsibility of Benjamin Netanyahu” who did not want an agreement.

This time the executioners in the video are once again wearing Hamas uniforms, but the victims are six Arabs of Gaza. Six alleged “collaborators with Israel”. They were put against a wall and shot. The video, shared by the Gaza Now channel which boasts 1.7 million followers on Telegram, is titled “The moment of punishment of the agents of the Zionist occupation”.

There are no reports of complaints from the “special rapporteur” Francesca Albanese or the International Red Cross. No Jews no news?

The “Free Palestine” hordes don’t seem to care much. A bit like the 127 death sentences carried out in Iran from December 21 to today (774 since the “moderate” Pezeshkian became president).

And then you must realize that Hamas has to demonstrate that it is still in charge in Gaza by publicly executing a group of locals. In 2007, Hamas took power in Gaza against Fatah. 600 Palestinian Arabs dead: 188 in one week, some thrown from rooftops.

For the “Free Gaza” group, the end of the “Israeli occupation” was to be celebrated. Now that there is a “ceasefire”, the massacre of Palestinian Arabs at the hands of other Palestinian Arabs can be ignored. Intrafada, not Intifada until victory.

When the war stops and Hamas kills Palestinian Arabs, the “ceasefires” fall silent. In October, Hamas terrorists killed Islam Hijazi, the director of the NGO Heal Palestine, after she refused to hand over the charity funds raised to the terrorist group. Again, nothing to report. Did you hear about it?

Is the ‘Patriot Front’ a Fed PsyOp?

 Certainly I am not the only conservative who has suspected this mysterious “white nationalist” group of being secretly controlled by the FBI, and when the Patriot Front showed up during Friday’s annual March for Life in Washington, everybody with an X account was yelling “Fed.”

With nearly 40 years of experience as a journalist, I certainly do not wish to be counted among the “right-wing influencers and conspiracy theorists . . . peddling false narratives about [Patriot Front being] ‘Antifa’ and undercover federal agents.” It takes nearly zero research skills to discover the basic facts about Patriot Front. The group originated in the aftermath of the August 2017 “Unite the Right” riot in Charlottesville, Virginia (which I had been invited to attend/cover, an invitation I fortuitously declined). A teenager from Texas named Thomas Ryan Rousseau participated in “Unite the Right” as part of the neo-Nazi group Vanguard America (VA). Rousseau then split from VA to form the Patriot Front, having gained control of VA’s online channels and using these resources to recruit some 200 members for his new group.

Age Verification Laws Meet VPNs and Lawsuits in a War Over Speech and Privacy

 Thwarted for years by the liberating power of the internet, social conservatives have resumed their crusade against sexually explicit material through age verification requirements. While sold as a means of ensuring that only adults access adult-oriented websites, the laws require people to abandon anonymity and expose potentially sensitive personal information. The browsing public has responded with lawsuits and an embrace of technology that bypasses restrictions. That may not be enough.

Government Pushes Parents Aside to Determine Which Websites are Appropriate

"This is something that I believe will save the current generation and generations to come if we're successful," Florida House Speaker Paul Renner (R–Palm Coast) commented last March upon the passage of HB-3. The bill, which Gov. Ron DeSantis subsequently signed, went into effect January 1. It bans access to pornographic websites for those under 18 years of age. It also forbids those under 14 from opening social media accounts (14- and 15-year-olds can do so with parental permission).

While people argue over whether government officials or parents should be deciding what minors can see and read on the internet, there's general agreement that at least some material is inappropriate for kids. The trick for those who want the government to act and who pushed the passage of HB3 in Florida and similar legislation elsewhere is determining the age of people browsing websites.

Louisiana, which pioneered the flurry of age-verification laws, has a digital version of its driver's license called the LA Wallet. That digital ID can be used to establish a web browser's age to the satisfaction of the law, while also revealing the holder's identity. Most states don't have anything like the LA Wallet.

"In states without a digital identification program like Louisiana's, porn sites must pay third-party age-verification providers to use software to compare a user's face with their ID photo, held up to the camera, or to use AI to determine if their face looks obviously older than 18," The Atlantic's Marc Novicoff noted in a recent article on such laws.

That's clumsy, at best. It's also an added expense that can lead to legal liability for websites if they make mistakes in carding users or handling sensitive data. Some adult sites, like Pornhub, have preferred to block access to residents of states that have age verification laws. This month, the company extended its ban to users in Florida and South Carolina, which also passed an age verification law.

But it would be more accurate to say that Pornhub and others have blocked the users who seem to be coming from age verification states. This is where tech fixes come in. Using virtual private networks (VPNs), people can make it seem as if they're surfing the web from less-restrictive jurisdictions. Business is booming.

"Google searches for online tools like VPNs have surged in Florida after Pornhub, one of the world's largest adult websites, blocked access to users in the state," CBS News reported earlier this month. "Since the end of November, Google searches for VPNs have surged in the Florida, according to Google Trends. From the week of Dec. 22 - 28 to Dec. 29 - Jan. 4, searches nearly doubled. Since then, the numbers have gone even higher."

South Africa Legalizes Mass Land Seizures from White Farmers

 It was always going to come to this.

The corrupt ANC government just starved dozens of black miners to death to gain control over the diamond trade. The regime suffered a massive decline in popularity forcing it to cut deals even as it hiked welfare spending and taxes. The lights aren’t staying on and the South African regime outsourced its foreign policy to Iran and Qatar to wage a political war for Hamas at the UN. So what’s left? Going full Zimbabwe.

President Cyril Ramaphosa on Thursday signed the Expropriation Bill into law.

In a statement, the Presidency said the Bill allows for local, provincial and national authorities “to expropriate land in the public interest for varied reasons that seek, among others, to promote inclusivity and access to natural resources”.

The ANC in 2017 proposed constitutional changes to make it easier for the government to take land without paying for it and address racially skewed land ownership patterns dating back to colonial and white-minority rule.

The key difference between the repealed pre-democratic Expropriation Act of 1975 and the newly signed Expropriation Bill is that the court is given the right to award nil compensation in cases of expropriation of land.

So government seizure of land from white farmers to be turned over to ANC cronies. The ANC and its fellow terrorist and Communist allies will pretend that this is purely about race, but its leader didn’t become a tycoon through activism, but through targeted social justice of this kind, and the beneficiaries will be ANC cronies.

Those cronies will be even worse at managing the land than any random African person would be, so crops will fall and they’ll either run them into the ground or contract out farm management to foreign companies which will turn the black people on whose behalf the land was seized into serfs working for foreigners.

It’ll be another ‘step forward’ for South Africa.

Considering this ANC regime just killed 78 miners in its greed, assume it’s willing to kill far more farmers of all races so its leaders can enjoy all the luxuries of running their very own banana republic.

And then the Zimbabwe-like famines will come and we’ll be on the hook to send them foreign aid.

While Canadian food banks collapse, Ottawa offers $3k each to Gaza ‘refugees’

Liberals claim that they care about other people, but the real mark of liberal governments is how little they care about their own people.

Times are hard in Canada under the corrupt radical Trudeau government.

As Canadians grapple with astronomical grocery prices, troublingly high numbers of people are flocking to food banks to feed their families. Last March alone, two million Canadians visited food banks—a staggering 90 per cent increase from 2019—and the most recent figures estimate that 12,000 new users access them every month. Food banks aren’t just frequented by unhoused and precariously employed folks anymore, either: now, one in five users has a steady job.

That means it’s the right time to bring a whole bunch of freeloading ‘refugees’ from terrorist Gaza to Canada.

The Liberal government will provide tax-free grants of $3,000 per adult and $1,500 per child to Gazan refugees arriving in Canada, the Department of Immigration announced Thursday…

Thus far, 4,782 applications have been approved, and 616 Gazans have arrived, typically as relatives of Canadian residents.

“While it is extremely difficult for people to exit Gaza at this time, Canada is making sure necessary support is in place for Gazans as they start to arrive in our country,” the department said.

The government has not disclosed the total cost of the refugee program.

“Canada is the only country in the world with a dedicated pathway for extended family members of its citizens or permanent residents in Gaza,” the department stated in a May 27 briefing note.

That’s not something to be proud of.

Incoming Secretary of State Marco Rubio previously warned Canada that it was endangering its own people and Americans.

In a letter Wednesday to U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, United States Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) expressed concern over the program, which he warned could lead to an increased risk of allowing individuals with ties to terror groups easy access to the United States.

“On May 27, 2024, the Government of Canada announced its intent to increase the number of Gazans who will be allowed into their country under temporary special measures,” Rubio wrote in his letter, which was signed by five other Republican senators.

“We are deeply concerned and request heightened scrutiny by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security should any of them attempt to enter the United States at ports of entry as well as between ports of entry.”

What could go wrong?

“Settlement support and this financial assistance are critical to address the immediate challenges that come with moving to a new country under such circumstances,” said Immigration Minister Marc Miller.

“We’ll continue advocating for the safety of everyone.”

Everyone except Canadians.
